1 bad call

DCA 2025 was on the road to a National championship until 1 bad call derailed them.  Heading into Orlando you couldn't tell anyone that DCA wasn't the favorite to win it all, especially once they touch the court it was evident this was 1 of the top teams in the country.

The start of the tournament they played against a scrappy Westside Warriors team which they played in Ohio barely edging out a win due to taking the pressure off to early. This time it was different ball game they dominated from start to finish winning by 15. 2nd game they beat a decent Utah team. The 3rd game they played against a tough Arkansas Rising Stars team which many believed it would be a good game but DCA had the look of kids on a mission that wasn't going to be stopped. The final score was 44 - 25 DCA.

The sweet 16 was a rematch from King James tournament where DCA won convincingly.  Gulf Coast   Blue Chips vs DCA. The 1st half of the game was a real dog fight GCBC was there to play but between good depth and athletic bigs DCA wore GCBC down and pulled away and never looked back to win  the game by 14.

Elite 8 has been DCA'S Kryptonite in the past. Going against a tough scrappy Ny Rens team this year definetly had the make-up for a classic game.  The start of the game DCA came out firing on all cylinders taking a 8-0 lead but Ny Rens settled down and got back in the game. Fast Forward to the end of the game. Scored tied 24-24 2 seconds left Coach Kev draws up a game winning play, The time out is over the kids walk on to the court but it was only 1 problem 6 kids walked out on the court, before the ref could hand in the ball Coach Kev grabs the kid off the court between the  commotion going and the crowd screaming "6 kids on the court" the ref went to the table to ask them what happen because neither ref seen what happen the table said 6 kids was on the court and just like that the ref gave DCA a technical foul basically giving the Ny Rens a final 4 birth. A very tough way to lose a game in the hands of the ref.  The boys was resilient knowing their chances to win a National championship was taking by 1 bad call they still manage to beat a Nike Pro Skills team 3 hours later and set their self up to play a very tough North Coast Blue Chips team who beat them in Alabama earlier that season.  With both teams playing for 5th place and more then a placing playing for pride. All season everyone knew CSE, NCBC AND DCA was the top teams in the country who cares what anyone else thought or said once you got on the court with either 3 you knew what it was. With a very close back in fourth game Coach Kev and his boys pulled it out to place 5th in AAU Nationals.

DCA has a very special group of boys and have the potential to do something very special in the city of Atlanta.  Georgia Cup Finals Champs, Under Armour Invitational Champs and last but not least back to back state champs not losing a game in Atlanta in their age division in 2 years. So its safe to say thats not the last you will hear from these young hungry wolves.
